Ascension
I arrived in Baltimore on the eve of
the feast of the Ascension in 1993. My first Liturgy as a resident
of Baltimore was at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the
Annunciation. This year I went to St. Nicholas
Cathedral. We had four deacons and two priests serving.
The vestments which I wore came from
the cathedral. The sticharion and cuffs were from Irakli,
one of the altar servers there. The orarion is from my
parish. Protodeacon Blagoje and I go back to 1982 when I
returned to Washington DC from Texas and first started attending
services at St. Luke Serbian Orthodox Church on Sixteenth
Street.
