Christmas 2008

Our parish went back to a beautiful tradition of the Holy Supper. Some parishes have it before the Vigil and others after. Either way works.

After the Vigil we had the traditional Holy Supper. We did not do the traditional dishes as such, but it was a lenten meal. This was also an opportunity for all of us to gather together, including those who could not attend the Liturgy the next day because of work. I myself had just started a new job and therefore could not attend. After seven months of unemployment, I need every hour that I can get.

For me, aftaer the Vigil, the highlight of the evening was when Cassie came over to give me their Christmas present. She said "Merry Chritmas" and then gave me a big hug and then the Christmas present. Then her younger sister came over and hug me.
