Saint Katherine's Sisterhood Meeting
January and February 2008
As a deacon, one of my functions is to attend meetings. In his talks on Saturday 15 February, His Excellency Metropolitan KALLISTOS (Ware) of Diokleia said that the deacon is the right hand man of the priest and sisterhood president Salena pointed this out in her report of the retreat on Sunday 17 February 2008. The following report is for the meeting on Sunday 17 February 2008. There are no photographs of this meeting. Our sisterhood is looking at several future retreats: including the one at the Cathedral (5 April 2008) and the one at St. Andrew (12 April 2008). In addition, she talked about the retreat that Holy Cross is having at Antiochian Village, 11-13 April 2008.
Selina talked about cooperation with the sisterhood of Holy Cross Orthodox Church and fund raising ideas.
Her husband David approached us about sponsoring Archiglas. We have had them at the church in the past and we want to bring them back. A few years ago one person told me that they should be at the Meyenhoff and tickets there would be $75 each. We are bringing them to our church and you cn attend free of charge.
The next meeting will be Sunday 8 April 2008. Instead of a meting next month, we will have a special birthday party for our members who are 80 years old or older.
