On Wednesday 4 June 2008 the area was hit was a violent storm. At Cathedral Gardens several trees were destroyed and the road to the picnic area was blocked, but the road to the chapel was not. We also had no electricity as a tree fell on the power line south of our property.
We did the whole Vigil Service with candle light. I have always thought that candle light is beautiful and often wish that they would not use electrical lights at all. Finally I had a chance to worship in the most beautiful light. What a treat!
I wish that David was there to take photos. I think that he would know how to adjust the camera for the situation. After the service I took a few photos by candle light.
