Holy Trinity's Altar Servers
The liturgical life of any parish depends, to a certain extent, on its altar servers. This includes the priests, any deacons, and the servers. In most parishes the servers are boys, but in many parishes we have adult men serving on the Altar as they should be.
Joseph wanted a photo of the Altar with the flowers. He really wanted it with the servers behind the Altar, but he did not react fast enough. Since I am serving, I really cannot take the photo. So by the time he got the camera out, it was too late.
Nicholas noticed that we have all of our current altar servers here so he thought that it would be a good idea to get a photography now and I concur and Fr. John consented.
After these photographs were taken, we went down stairs for another wonderful meal. Natalie and I both took photographs. I asked her to take enough photographs to ensure that my Nikon is still working. I dropped it the previous day at St. Andrew. It fell only a foot onto a wood floor.
The first time the camer fell, it fell a much greater distance onto a marble floor and it continued to work that day. The next day it stopped working. It has now been a month and it is still working, thank God.
In addition to testing the camera to make sure that it still works, most of these photographs will be a part of our parish history. As long as this site is up, anybody can come to it and look at the current history of our parish or my neighborhood or the various organizations to which I belong. |
