How many of us know how to eat in a formal setting? I definitely don't and I find myself in this situation at least once a year now. I was in such a situation the day before I uploaded this page. The story and pictures are on another page on this site.

The Y of Central Maryland, also known as the YMCA, understands the problem and the importance of the situation. They realize that one has to educate the whole child and they have some pretty good after school programs. One of them is the training in formal dining. They formed an agreement with the International School of Protocol, Inc. to train these young people in this important aspect of their future lives.

Ms. Cathleen Hanson, the director, sent me a package recently and I was very proud to read the first newspaper article in the package which talks about my alma mater, Merrimack College. The article was in the Baltimore Sun, also known as the Sun paper.

The Y has many excelelnt after school programs for our young people. We realize the importance of our children.
