For the Y of Central Maryland I wear several hats. One of the things that I do is to pick up items from various partners. This gives me a chance to meet different people and find out about the various programs that exist in the City.
One of the programs is with Baltimore Clayworks (410-578-1919). This is a non-profit organization which teaches people how to work with clay. They are located across the street from one of the buildings of the Enoch Pratt Free Library (Baltimore City Public Library). In the library building they have classes. In the other building they have galleries and administrative offices.
I went there to pick up a letter for the Y and discovered the place. What a treat! The staff was fantastic! I could work with these people all the time and never get tired of them.
From Saturday 28 June 2008 through Saturday 2 August 2008 they have on exhibit The Journey of the Magnolia, Total Work of Art (Gesamthkunstwerk) by Lars Westby. It is the Myung Rye Kim Lorima Salter Fellowship Exhibition. I was unable to attend the opening because we have Vigil Service every Saturday at our chapel in Cathedral Gardens and since I am a deacon, I need to be there.
You are visitor # since Sunday 29 June 20089
